Microarray was formed in July 2000, as a joint venture between Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) and the The University of Manchester.

Microarray also offers contract manufacture and sensor development of low/medium volume screen printed disposable sensors both for academia and industry, development and production.

Microarray also has unique patented microelectrode sensor technology which coupled with it's expertise in electrochemistry allows it to offer a powerful sensor development service, across diverse applications and markets.

Microelectrodes allow electrochemical sensors to be used in applications where fluid motion or flow currently prevents the use of electrochemical measurement methodologies. The Microarray technique is a highly reproducible ultra low cost, high performance method for manufacturing microelectrode sensors.
